Directions from London/Chelmsford
to Leisure World
From the A12 take the Colchester Central turn-off. Follow signs towards
the Town Centre via the A133 (previously the A604) Avenue of
Remembrance.
At the end of the Avenue of
Remembrance you will come to a
roundabout where you should go
straight over into Colne Bank
Avenue. At the next roundabout go
straight over into Cowdray Avenue
(A133)
At the traffic lights turn right and
you are at the entrance to Leisure
World. Watch out for the brown signs
to Leisure World.
Directions from Ipswich to
Leisure World
Travelling along the A12 from Ipswich head towards Colchester / London.
Then take the first turn off to Colchester (sign posted Colchester /
Clacton).
On leaving the A12 slip road you will come to a roundabout. Go straight
over onto the Ipswich Road (A1232), past the Honda Garage on your left.
Follow the Ipswich Road (A1232)
straight for about 2 miles (going
straight over the first roundabout
where the Rovers Tye Pub will be on
your right) until you come to a
second roundabout. At this
roundabout turn right on to Cowdray
Avenue (A133). Leisure World is
approx a quarter of a mile on your
left. Watch out for the brown signs
to Leisure World.
Directions from Clacton/Walton
and Frinton to Leisure World
From Clacton, Frinton or Walton pick up the signs to the A120 (London).
Then take the first turning off signposted to Colchester/Harwich. At the
top of the sliproad turn right past the Honda Garage and on the Ipswich
Road (A1232). Follow the Ipswich Road (A1232) straight for about 2 miles
(going straight over the first roundabout where the Rovers Tye Pub will
be on your right) until you come to a second roundabout. At this
roundabout turn right on to Cowdray Avenue (A133). Leisure World is
approx a quarter of a mile on your left. Watch out for the brown signs
to Leisure World.
Directions from Colchester High
Street to Leisure World
On foot:
Walk through the Castle Park,
following the path right down into
the lower park until you come to the
River Colne. Bear right and you will
see a gate and a bridge crossing
over the river. Follow the pathway
to the right and you will come to
Leisure World's rear car park. Keep
on the footpath and you will come to
the front entrance.
By car:
From the High Street go straight on
to East Hill. At the bottom of East
Hill you will come to a roundabout,
go straight over past the Mill
Apartments on your left. At the next
mini roundabout take the left hand
fork onto the Ipswich Road (A1232).
You will then come to double
roundabouts, turn left, then left
again on to Cowdray Avenue (A133).
Leisure World is about a quarter of
a mile on your left.
Watch out for the brown signs to
Leisure World.

Charter Hall is in walking distance from all major bus routes.
Colchester North Station Road bus stop is 1km walking distance to
Charter Hall (approx ten mins). Colchester High Street bus stops - easy
access to Charter Hall is available from the High Street by walking
through Colchester Castle Park, distance approx 1 Km (approx ten mins)
